The MBA program in the Graduate School of Business at KNOU has innovative curriculum that allows business professionals to develop their abilities in order to cope with the rapidly changing global business environment by developing practical knowledge.
As the program offers seven specialized coarses, namely Human Resource Consulting, General Management, Technology Management, Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Economic Policy, and International Trade, students can advance in-depth knowledge in each specialized field and cultivate the core competencies required to the field managers in their major chosen by their individual needs and purposes.
Human Resource Consulting Major
The main purposes of the HR Consulting Major are to develop not only consulting abilities in human resource management (HRM) and human resource development (HRD) for human resources but also practical consulting competencies in corporate culture and organizational design. Therefore, the HR Consulting Major is designed as a practice-oriented program that presupposes the participation and cooperation of students based on basic theory learning in relevant fields.

General Management Major
The GM major is a comprehensive business administration discipline focusing on theories and methods to lead companies efficiently and effectively from the standpoint of CEOs and managers. Students learn how to establish and operate a company efficiently through entrepreneurial experiences and lessons, how to grow the company by connecting technology and business management to make society a better and more enriching place, and how to strategically gain the upper hand in global competition. In addition, by studying various major courses, which cover the entire field of business administration, according to their needs, students explore the overall direction of the company from a business manager's perspective.
Those who wish to major in GM can freely choose any courses from among the entire course collection provided in the KNOU MBA 6 Tracks, with the “Strategic Management” and “Startup Management Strategy” courses as the basis. Students can obtain a master’s degree in GM if they earn a total of 30 credits.

Technology Management Major
The Technology Management Major deals with a company’s scientific decision-making using technology and data. It covers a wide range of areas from information and communication technology involved in the process of collecting and processing data and using it for decision-making to mathematical models for making optimal decision-making using the collected data. It focuses on the importance of technology in various areas, particularly in information and communication technology and information resources, for the establishment and operation of corporate strategy.
It also cultivates thinking skills to achieve enhanced competitiveness through system innovation and optimal operation by taking advantage of internationalization of corporate management, rapid advancements of information and communication technology, and increasing cooperation between companies, and is intended to examine related problems in practice.
The Technology Management Major is suitable for CEOs or those in managerial roles who aim to dramatically improve competitiveness through innovation in business operations and optimization based on scientific decision-making.

Marketing Major
The Marketing Major is offered in a field that ultimately pursues a win-win world for companies and consumers by researching the market and consumers, which are the starting point and end point of business management.
The Marketing Major offers courses, such as “Marketing Theory,” which is the introductory marketing course; “Research on Consumer Behavior for Value Creation” to explore and implement new marketing paradigms to achieve joint value creation between companies and consumers; “Marketing Management 1,” which centers on products and brands; “Marketing Management 2,” which covers service marketing, distribution management, and price management; and “Consumer Happiness Seminar,” which explores consumer happiness beyond customer satisfaction. Finance and Accounting Major
The Finance and Accounting Major is an interdisciplinary program of finance, accounting, and taxation, which is designed to nurture practical skills that can create synergy through comprehensive learning in these fields.
The courses in finance, for example, are designed to increase the knowledge of the latest theories and the ability to apply them in practice. The courses are also designed to cultivate experts who have creative decision-making skills and leadership. In the courses in investment theory, students can learn in-depth the nature of financial assets and investments, management theories, and empirical analysis of investment theories, whereas in the courses in corporate finance, students are given a broad perspective on corporate real investment, decision-making on capital procurement, and the theory and empirical analysis of the company's financial soundness evaluation.
The fields of accounting and taxation are aimed at cultivating the ability to make rational decisions by learning the theory and practical knowledge of the calculation and use of accounting and tax information related to finance.
In the field of accounting, the program offers courses such as “Financial Accounting,” “Cost Management Accounting,” and “Audit Accounting,” whereas in the field of taxation, its courses include “Decision-Making in Taxation” and “Taxation and Business Strategies.”

Economic Policy Major
The main purposes of the Economic Policy Major are to learn and research various government policies that have a profound impact on the business environment of a company, focusing on their theoretical background, actual implementation process, and impact on the private sector. In particular, the program provides an opportunity, not only to government officials but also to those working in industries that are highly affected by government regulations and policies, such as public organizations, banking, energy, and telecommunication sectors, to increase the understanding of government policy and the capacity to assess the impact of policy on the private sector.
The Economic Policy Major consists of general courses to learn the theoretical background of government policy and basic policy analysis methodology, and special courses on the characteristics, status, and effects of individual economic policies such as industrial, monetary, and labor policies. In particular, students can broaden their understanding of all aspects of economic policies through relevant courses of other major programs such as economic law or social welfare.

International Trade Major is the most modern and state-of-the-art program in the global era to study key areas of international trade practice, international management, the international economy, and international finance. In particular, the program offers in-depth practical knowledge to not only entrepreneurs, business managers, and trade professionals but also trade-related professionals such as customs brokers, certified management consultants, international trade specialists, country of origin managers, global investment and asset management experts, and students who are interested in entrepreneurship. In addition, the International Trade Major pursues an in-depth theoretical understanding and seeks ways to apply theory to practice. Therefore, students who have completed the International Trade Major will be able to acquire opportunities for future-oriented innovation and creative development by acquiring sufficient knowledge that can be used in a global business environment, and develop global talents with strategic perspectives and professional insights.
