The main objective of the Graduate School of the Department of Law is to develop legal professionals who can assist in the realization of a democratic society based on a rule of law and a welfare state where the human rights of all people will be actualized. With a basis in elementary legal theory and elementary human rights theory, the course curriculum will include legal policy and precedents related to human rights that occur in various social sectors of public interests, human rights, labor, and women’s rights, and it will include cases and policies from both Korea and abroad.
Interdisciplinary, mutual, and systemic curricula become the basis of in-depth research, and with faculty that include legal professors and lawyers of democracy and human rights specialists, students will be able to increase their professional legal knowledge. As the only remote public graduate school, students can pursue both work and studies through an online-centric education. Furthermore, online and offline course seminars, department seminars, and department workshops are held every semester, and serve as a forum for academic exchange for graduate students and alumni that are pursuing diverse activities across the country.
