"We aim to foster individuals who can build ties between Korea and Japan."
On the basis of an accurate and in-depth understanding of Japanese culture and life and a level of Japanese skills that allows open communication with Japanese persons, we aim to foster talented people who can initiate Korea–Japan relations suitable for the era of internationalization and information. Our department will provide indispensable knowledge for an in-depth understanding of various aspects of modern Japanese society.
Education in our department is divided into the fields of Japanese language and regional studies. In the former, students can study the Japanese language, which is an essential requisite for a comprehensive understanding of Japan. Students can also develop writing and conversation skills based on the correct understanding of Japanese grammar and vocabulary, and learn more diverse and rich expressions through Japanese literary works by developing Japanese proficiency.
In the regional studies field, students can gain an in-depth, comprehensive, and organic understanding of various aspects of the modern Japanese society through courses on history, culture, ideology, politics, the economy, and management.
