Social welfare encompasses the theory and practice of freedom and social rights so that citizens can speak freely.
The Department of Social Welfare strives to realize that the cause of the problems are not only individual citizens but society as a whole, and will work collaboratively to foster citizens who are willing to confront and overcome the five monsters (income deficiency, ignorance, disease, uncleanliness, and laziness).
Furthermore, we want to become a community center of professional training with a philosophy of fighting against social risks. Therefore, the department will be a hub for experts and practitioners who visualize a better community and analyze the causes behind the issues in the human condition, instead of being only interested in survival.
