The Department of Nursing was established in 1992 as a National Distance Specialized Undergraduate Program (RN-BSN) for holders of Korean nursing licenses who passed the licensing test after acquiring a nursing degree from a junior college.
Our department aims to improve nursing expertise and nursing skills to meet social needs based on human respect and patient-centered nursing philosophy. Our aim is also to foster medical professionals who can meet the public’s health and nursing needs following the rapid changes and developments in medical technology and society; develop knowledge, attitudes, skills, and leadership to solve the health problems of patients; and perform evidence-based nursing. Graduates can work in various medical and practical fields, including hospitals, facilities, enterprises, schools, research institutes, and health centers, and can further develop their identity and expertise as professional nurses, such as by pursuing a master’s degree in nursing.
