Our department began with a two-year specialized course in 1982, which was reorganized into a bachelor's program in 1990. We understand the principles of child development and early childhood education, train childcare teachers, and provide opportunities for retraining to employees of childhood education institutions. The course was also designed to help parents and prospective parents form the right perspective about children.
Our department aims to train teachers of child care institutions in early childhood education through an understanding of the theory and practice of childhood education and child care, and on-the-job training (child care practice, school field practice), and to produce experts of infant education and child care and in early childhood education and child care.
Through the bachelor’s program at our department, we train early childhood education and child care experts who provide healthy guidance for infants and children, and lay the foundation for psychological and educational philosophy to understand the development of infants and children. We also help students, through teaching and cultural courses, become early childhood education experts, who can integrate the values of traditional culture and the needs of modern society.
After earning a bachelor's degree, graduates can obtain a level-two kindergarten teacher certificate and a level-two childcare teacher certificate. With the respective certificates, they can choose to become a kindergarten teacher or a daycare teacher or work in various institutions and businesses related to early childhood education.
