Mechatronics is a compound word of “Mechanics” and “Electronics,” which is an interdisciplinary academic field that combines mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, computer engineering, and control engineering. It is involved with cutting-edge technology that allows electronic devices to judge and operate on their own by giving them intelligence and senses. It is a major academic field for Korea's high-tech industries and has applications in various fields such as future automobiles, aerospace, medical engineering, robot systems, and unmanned production systems.

This major provides a systematic and practical educational program on all technologies that make up mechatronics engineering, and it aims to cultivate experts who think creatively by equipping them with the theoretical and practical tools through the creative blended learning (on+off) method that is a unique feature of Prime College.
